As a current naval officer whose great grandfather immigrated to the US at the turn of the 20th century from Ballyhaunis and served in WWI, I would be honored to serve aboard a ship named after Cpl. Patrick Gallagher.

I served on the USS Enterprise during Vietnam. After reading the story of Patrick Gallagher, I am very much in favor naming a ship after this hero.
