The Pennsylvania Tuition Relief Act is a tuition assistance program that will decrease the gap between cost attendance and family contribution toward education. The Governor's Proposal is to legalize a small number of video poker machines within the State of Pennsylvania to set up a revenue stream to fund education for Pennsylvania residents. This plan would provide a max of $7600.00 per year in the hands of Pennsylvania students who live is households with a combined income of less than 100,00 dollars a year. All Pennsylvania residents who attend 10 out of the 14 public intuitions within the state of Pennsylvania will have the opportunity to take advantage of this plan. Unfortunately Penn State University, Temple University, Lincoln University and The University of Pittsburgh have been excluded form the Plan.
