The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) has placed a state-owned stretch of railroad between Sapulpa and OKC (97.5 miles) up for sale. This sale would be a disaster for state freight shipping and the future of passenger rail development.
Please sign this petition ASAP to request Governor Fallin and her cabinet secretaries recommend the NO SALE option to the Oklahoma Transportation Commission.
Oklahoma needs passenger rail service between Tulsa and OKC to move into the 21st Century. It is high time we expand passenger rail in Oklahoma so that we can enjoy its commuting, economic, recreational and environmental benefits. It is time to move forward, Oklahoma! We deserve this connection of passenger rail service. Both cities will benefit. We are still in the 19th century when it comes to progress here....time to catch up with the rest of the world!
