The Senate finally listened and passed the TVPRA. This victory belongs to the 342 people who refused to let them ignore the reality of human trafficking anymore. We forced their hand, but now we must ensure the funding and enforcement actually follow through.
Dear Senator: We, the undersigned, support the bipartisan Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (S1301), which comprehensively addresses the domestic and international dimensions of modern day slavery and is the cornerstone of all U.S. policies to fight human trafficking. The Trafficking Victims Protection Act expired on October 1, 2011, placing the U.S. fight against trafficking on hold. We urge you to pass the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act immediately to continue the fight against modern day slavery domestically and internationally.
The momentum behind this petition proves that people are finally waking up to the shameful reality that our leaders let these vital protections lapse. Senate obstructionists are running out of excuses to ignore us while modern slavery continues to thrive under their watch.

How is this even a question? Get it done. Human trafficking is a nightmare and we need laws that actually work to stop these monsters.
