Currently, the Spring 2016 PASS webpage offers an option to “Show Fully Online Classes, Show GWR Classes, and Show USCP Classes." We would like to add to PASS (Plan a Student Schedule) a “Show Sustainability Classes” option to the Select Course List tab.
The Academic Senate Sustainability Committee has developed a list of sustainable classes that meet the Sustainability Learning Objectives at Cal Poly. The courses are listed in the Sustainability Catalog (SUSCAT). The 2014 CSU Sustainability Policy states, “The CSU will seek to further integrate sustainability into the academic curriculum working within the normal campus consultative process" and other CSU campuses use systems to visually identify sustainability courses in their course catalogs or online registration systems. In doing so, Cal Poly students could more easily find classes relating to sustainability and make a positive impact in the community through their classes.

The administration remains silent on our request to integrate the SUSCAT list into the PASS system. Email the registrar today to let them know that students need a functional way to find sustainability courses.

The momentum behind this push for a sustainability filter is undeniable. Now you must email your department head to demand they prioritize this update to our registration system.

i really want to take more sustainability courses but i can never find them on pass when im registering. great suggestion.
Why isnt this already an option? Seems like a no brainer for the school.
Sustainability should be a highly valued course of study here at Cal Poly. This would not only set us ahead of other agricultural universities, but is the stepping stone to providing a better world for our future.
Students should be able to select courses that promote sustainability as a idea in any of the many majors offered at Cal Poly.

This would make planning my schedule so much easier. Taking these classes shouldnt be this difficult to find.
