Pass Nassau's Sewer Revenue Protection Act

Help us pass Legislator Denenberg’s Sewer Revenue Protection Bill!
Nassau’s sewage treatment plants have been deteriorating for years. Pipes burst in Baldwin, sending sewage into people’s homes. Odor emanating from the plants is unbearable. Machinery breakdown is the norm. Sewage leaking into our bays, killing fish and ecosystems and causing respiratory ailments to local residents is environmentally criminal! How did we let it get so bad?
Nassau’s sewer district is very profitable. So then why are our sewage treatment plants failing?
Because the money we pay into the sewer district does not stay in the sewer district.
Our sewer district has been the cash cow of Nassau County for years!
Why? Because there is no law to stop it.
Until Now!
Denenberg’s Sewer Revenue Protection Bill is designed to protect the residents of the South Shore by ensuring that much needed sewer funds and revenue are used appropriately and not raided to pay off other county expenses.
Please sign this petition, asking the Nassau County Legislature to pass the Sewer Revenue Protection Bill so that the money that goes into the sewer district, stays in the sewer district!
