PART2 - No "PATH" Bike Road through Henderson Mill Creek Floodplain!

It's unforgivable to destroy any of this ecosystem when there are viable alternatives. In this case, the alternatives are better and cheaper.

Recent weather events have demonstrated the importance of wetlands. Please don't endanger the environment with unnecessary construction.

Surely there is an alternative solution. Paving over a flood plain seems likely to create a large problem for property owners down the road. As much as I am for recreational paths that encourage healthy habits, let’s not do so at the expense of our environment—at the expense of our investments. Protect Dekalb property owners and the natural benefit of the flood plain by coming up with an environmentally and innovation solution!

Development DESTROYS wildlife habitat. Unnecessary, anti-nature, anti-environment. Leave this oasis for aquatic species and migratory birds alone.

I want dekalb county to consider the flowers rd alternative .

Please protect the flood plain. We CAN coexist with nature.

We need to protect more wild land.

Please leave nature alone. Please don't do what my city has done, we have bears, deer, raccoons, etc. Who have no where to go but streets, they end up dying and NOBODY uses these concrete nightmares.

Please do not impact a necessary and beneficial wetland. The residents don't want this, and it could have a negative impact on both the wetland and the adjacent property owners being an active floodplain. Any development other than what is necessary will have a negative impact on a registered wetland, and the law says alternative options must be pursued if available before impacting a Georgia wetland. There are other options that don't impact the wetland, so this bike road may not be immune to future litigation if it causes damages.

Please consider the alternative bike routing (Flowers Rd -> Brandywine) for this western portion. Do not destroy our beautiful neighborhood.

Please do not destroy the Mercer floodplain! The bike road can be connected via Flowers Rd and/or Brandywine. Stay out of the floodplain! The bike road is not welcomed in the floodplain.

I support bike paths, but they shouldn't damage fragile local ecosystems.

This appears to be a behind the scenes action by someone or more in the DeKalb government to push the PATH plan without looking at possible alternatives. Just because the overall PATH plan is commendable some pieces of the plan should not receive a rubber stamp.

Save the entire flood plain, no paving.

Opposed to concrete bike paths through floodplains- everywhere.

Please leave this natural space natural, for the benefit of our environment, our wildlife and our neighbors. I oppose any plans to put any concrete or cement or other hardscape materials anywhere in the HMC floodplain. Thank you for preserving our precious natural spaces!

No bike path! It will damage the hydrogeologic integrity of the area.
