Part Pedestrianise Rivington Street
Want to enjoy one of the best streets in Shoreditch, without the fear of being ran over? So do we. Hackney council have just invested over £100k in laying beautiful granite slabs and sets to enhance this part of Shoreditch. We would like it to remain beautiful for all users of this area. In order to do that we would like to see Hackney Council make the entrance of Rivington Street, from Curtain Road pedestrianised/open to cycle traffic and closed to vehicular traffic. Locals and regulars alike will know that this road is primarily used as a short cut through to Shoreditch High Street by drivers seeking to avoid the Curtain Road/Old Street traffic lights. If we can get approval for Rivington Street to be part pedestrianised we can maintain the beautiful aesthetics of the new street works. Also, we can ensure that users of the area can enjoy great venues like The Diner, Fix 126, Callooh Callay, Franco's, Artword Bookshop, The Comedy Cafe, Bedroom Bar, Cargo and Dragon Bar.
