I recently lost my nephew to a drunk driver while he was walking back to his truck and hit straight on. The driver is walking around while my nephew is 6 feet under. There is nothing we can do to get him back but drunk driver offenses are not taken seriously enough to get a designated driver if they are impaired. A message needs to be given to the public that the penalties of drunk driving and commit vehicular homicide is a serious offense. If more parole boards took that into consideration maybe people will realize they shouldn't get behind a wheel if they are drunk or impaired

I run an organization that provides free safe rides home to impaired drives. Jordan was aware of the program and had used it in the past. The Clay family and so many others will be in a prison of their own for the rest of their lives. They need to know that the people who make these poor choices will do the time they deserve.

I would like to add my voice to raising concerns for parole after such a short time. I know addicts, and 3 years of time is a short time for rehabilitation as well as a consequence for taking the lives of two young people.

Peters took two lives. A judge issued a sentence of 10 years. That is the sentence that should be served.

10 years is a drop in the bucket. He should serve ALL 10. Drinking and Driving is a choice - he made a bad choice, he should have consequences..
