Since the closure of the parking shop in Twickenham, getting a new parking permit has become a trial. The telephone number given to contact the Parking Permits department is permanently engaged. Emails are not answered in a timely manner. If you change vehicle, it is very hard to get hold of someone to issue you with a temporary permit. There is a need for a same-day permit issue facility in the borough. The council have already backed down on visitors permits and allowed these to be collected from the council offices from 8 April. Please sign this petition and forward to as many LBRUT residents as possible. If we don't ask they won't do it!
