Introduce Parking Permits in Hollingdean Terrace, Roedale, Dudley and upper Hollingdean Roads,

Sick of people parking dangerously on junctions, or even double parking because they can’t deem themselves more important than those who park sensibly and lawfully. Also seeing the constant trade vehicles parked up for days a time (a couple of local glazing companies, you know you you are) make the problem even worse. We have a toddler and a dog and loading/unloading the becomes a real effort when parked streets away and trying to find a spot at midnight when finishing a shift is painful. It needs sorting now!

Desperately needed. I work late shifts and often have to park miles from my house very late at night! I also have a toddler!

I live on Roedale Road me and my husband do 12 hour shifts. Trying to get a parking in the mornings and evening is a nightmare. Vans, campervan. Non - residents parking. And getting on the bus. I have to sometimes park 3 roads away. I think it’s about time we had permits holders only.

It has become hopeless. Endless works vehicles prevent residents from parking. We need the permits NOW.

Fully support a review of parking having fallen foul of the tow away squad at 8am on a Sunday morning! Parking has become a huge issue and I am reluctant to go out in the evenings and risk having to park 2-3 streets away and walk home in the dark. The lighting in Hollingdean Terrace is appalling and I don’t feel safe.

Regretfully I have no choice other than to sign this petition. I chose to live in this area, Hollingdean Terrace, in order to be able to park my car. With the introduction of permits and meters at Five Ways it has just pushed the problem further out. we are both pensioners and are beginning to get very anxious about going out in the car after five pm. After we had to leave our car in Ditchling Road by the park at 11o'clock at night.

Hollingdean Terrace parking is worse than ever. There are vans and caravans parked for weeks on end. This means the residents have to park streets away. This needs to change.

Agreed, parking in Brighton is ridiculous for residents and needs sorting

Yes I support this action - its a sad day when you have to consider whether to take your car out (having found a legal place to park) on the basis you may not get a space when you come back or be parked so far away from your home you feel unsafe walking home on your own.

The parking situation on Hollingdean Terrace is awful, the older residents and the ones with children often have to park several streets away, and the cars are so tightly parked they're often scratched and dangerously parked on the corners of roads.

I work 12 hr shifts and the last thing you want to do is have to search for a parking space, I usually have to circle our area at lleast 3 times and still end up so far away, Sometimes 2 or 3 roads which is not good.

Parking has now become a chore, cars are getting damaged and people are having to park so far away that it is dangerous and you feel unsafe walking back to your home late at night
