It is sad that Skokie didn't consider local residents' situation before construction of useless bike trail along the graveyard. Skokie village hall is responsible for all this inconvenience with parking and violation tickets... Now our neighborhood is suffering great losses. I am suggesting to have a meeting in person with responsible persons from village hall, who made this decision as soon as possible. They need to improve the situation before this winter starts, NOT by next winter 2018. Immediate response from the village is required!

Parking is very bad. Many disadvantages of installing this new bike trail. We are forced to bus our guests from the Mall. People get towed if they park in other residence spaces. Skokie needs to bring those spaces back ASAP.

The parking was bad enough before they removed the Old Orchard Rd parking, and now it's a disaster. A friend of mine who moved here earlier this year can't wait for their lease to expire so they could go somewhere else. Family and friends have trouble coming to visit also. This is only going to get worse during snowy winter season. Harvest Ln is a pain to pass thru now because there's parking on both sides, and it's a street meant to be ONE if both sides have parking. This street should have not parking on both sides while it's a TWO way street. It's a disaster waiting to happen, and the snow is again going to make it worse.

Our friends and relatives stopped coming over to our apartment due to parking problem. I have to pay additional $50 per month for additional parking.

We are 1000% agree with this. After reconstruction we are the Skokie Old Orchard families facing extreme difficulties with parking, headache for everyday after you get off from work thinking where I am gonna park tonight! Hopefully evth will work in our favor!

This new idea of bike road onOkd Orchard Road has created a huge problem for our neighborhood in these days. The lack of the parking spot give us headaches everyday. Also, it is not safe to drivers because of the narrow road. There is not enough space for two lines anymore. More concern for winter time. It is totally nightmare.

The parking situation is terrible, I refrain from having guest over due to the fact that there is never any parking. My family find it extremely difficult to come over and have a family dinner or get together. We work full time and we have busy schedules as it is, not being able to see each other due to parking is absurd. I can only imagine how things will be once the snow starts to fall.

It has been a huge inconvenience since the construction has taken place. The streets are more prone to accidents occurring due to all the congestion on Harvest lane and Beverly drive, and not enough parking is available for residents and guests. This is not a good thing for our community and residents. More parking is essential for the betterment of the neighborhood as we had in the past.

The elimination of parking on Old Orchard Road has created a real problem for me, and my neighbors. The lack of parking has created a huge headache for us that live here. It is not only congested, but difficult to navigate safely and dangerous. Traffic can no longer pass safely in our complex any longer. There is no room for two way traffic, now that there is parking ON BOTH SIDES of the small, thin sidestreet leading in to our complex. I can not imagine what it will be like in the winter with snow. The street is not wide enough (with parked cars). It is a tight fit for a small car now to navigate, no way a truck with a snow plow will make it down the street. It is a nightmare.

Absolutely absurd. There are literally zero available parking spaces sometimes. After driving around for nearly an hour, I have had to park in the gravel, past the several spaces that were created near the bike path, and have accepted the fact that I will be ticketed by the Skokie Police Department, which happens every time. Where are we honestly expected to park? This issue needs to be resolved.

I never saw walkers or bicyclists in groups or everyday using Old Orchard Road. Why, all of a sudden, was it so important to take away functional space that negatively impacted so many people. Why were we not consulted on the ramifications of this construction project? We need our parking back.
