HOA limitations of a 2 car maximum is ridiculous especially with COVID-19 being an issue. This needs to be reconsidered.

Just rented and was not aware of these parking restrictions. Totally inconvenient for our 3 car situation. We need street parking, or even some way to get parking passes for residents.

We live in the neighborhood The Spectrum at Val Vista. More parking is needed especially now that there is restricted parking on Rome Street.

Having to come out to my mother's vehicle towed 2 weeks ago with no warning because there was no parking on Rome, is totally unfair. Had to drive to Phoenix and pay to get it back. Same day, Gilbert PD lets us know that Rome is now cut in half. HOA needs to help us.

Exactly! You know that truck on Rome that was on cinder blocks? That was mine.
I asked the HOA for help, and they told me that there was nothing that could be done on their part. I have taken action, and have been told that I will be fined, and there are people on other websites that are claiming that things that I am doing, will cause a fine on my part.
I am at a loss of how else to help, just hope that every one does their part & lots of word-of-mouth from awesome people like you!

We need to be able to park on our street in our neighborhood. Our vehicles do not fit into our garages and they are vandalized when parked elsewhere.

Agree - along with other as well. I have been getting some backlash from this, and it does suck. With condensing the parking even more, it makes it harder for everyone. We pay to live here, and when there is an actual problem, there is no action taken. I am trying my hardest, but I am not sure if this will even work.
We are moving soon, but I will do the best I can while we're still here.

No problem!
Although - I have been in 'trouble' from the HOA because signs are not allowed to be posted throughout the neighborhood, and was told that if there are anymore, I will be fined.
Today, there was a complaint on SeeClickFix as follows:
"Leaflets spammed all over cars on Rome St. Some scattered and littered on the sidewalk. I don’t appreciate people touching my car to place any type of pamphlets or fliers. If this is a parking issue with the Villages neighborhood then it shouldn’t be plastered all over Rome St where people park publicly or that live in the apartments."
But, HOA could fine me, though there is no evidence that I have done it. The PDF is posted on the public Facebook page regarding this.
I am at a loss of what is possible to fix this, because going door-to-door is not an option because I have 6 kids (who I have to walk to my vehicle when I need to go somewhere due to the parking), and am not willing to make them suffer that with me.
Hopefully through all of your word-of-mouth, we will be able to fix this together. & I will probably be going to HOA jail HA!

Thank you for iniciating this petition, it was well overdue. As owners, some as renters, but we all have more than two vehicles. These properties are NOT 2-bedroom little appartments. These homes are in some instances as big as 5-bedroom homes. A two car garage is not sufficient, some residents have work trucks that don't even fit in the garage. Parking is a problem with all the restrictions from HOA and now the City of Gilbert limiting the parking areas at Rome even more...we need reasonable parking space and solutions not citations.

I’m so happy someone is finally doing one of these! It is ridiculous that we own our homes, pay an HOA, but can’t park in front of our own houses!
First of all I support this. Second of all, all the hard work you did writing out on the paper was wasted b/c you wrote ipetition.com instead of ipetitions.com and when I go to search for the Facebook Group, I don't see a group with that name so you must not have it public. Email me if you need help with this computer type stuff b/c the parking situation in our neighborhood is ridiculous.
