WE WILL NOT COMPLY WITH MANDATES OF ANY. LEAVE OUR CHILDREN AND PARENTAL RIGHTS ALONE. You’re looking at a bunch of lawsuits.

It should be my choice to put a mask on MY child not yours.

I believe the kids do not need to wear them. The schools will not be paying for dental care or anything else that is caused from the mask.

This should not even be necessary! Our children belong to us and the data (science) is on our side so we rightfully forbid such abuse, in so many ways, and refuse to put our children in harm’s way !!! Hell no!!

SB 1303 does not apply. If it does, then why were several school districts allowed to opt out? CDC reccomends masks, doesn't mandate them. Are you now going to mandate vaccinations for 12 year olds because the CDC reccomends it?

Parents have always had the right to choose. Parents should always have the right to choose. The government should never usurp parental rights.

I began subbing at a NN elementary school after Christmas break because my son was complaining of how often classes are split and combined. I’ve been a sub and an aide in the past in different school districts, and I have my degree.
As a parent, I knew things were bad and I was frustrated, but being in the school has been eye-opening. It is FILTHY; the kids eating in the classrooms rather than the cafeteria is DISGUSTING and disruptive to the flow of the classroom. Soooo many kids are incredibly far behind—kindergarteners are struggling with letter sounds at the end of January, along with some first graders. Trying to manage a classroom muffled in a mask, then having to constantly remind students to put their masks on properly so YOU don’t get in trouble is a nightmare. Kids are swinging the masks around on their fingers, shooting them across the room, trying to see how many pencils it can hold while wearing it, etc. Many of the kids are sucking on the masks, so their masks are soaked and germ-infested before the first hour of school has passed.
The “Covid measures” that are being taken are, in general, more harmful than helpful. The masks are useless; the red buckets kids have to put all their stuff in sit on the filthy floor, they don’t get cleaned out, and they are a HUGE tripping hazard. Desks have to be turned backwards so kids don’t keep their stuff in them; instead, they walk across the classroom for their pencil boxes and are constantly up and down. All the “measures” are illogical micromanagement at its finest!
Newport News School District should be worrying more about the EDUCATION of the kids (and I do NOT mean anything related to ANY electronic device) and CLEANLINESS of the schools rather than a mask mandate.

I’m concerned by anyone who feels they have a right to take away parental rights. Period.

The state does not own my children. Nor do they make health decisions for them. EO states patents choice. Don’t defy due to politics. Stop the madness

This should be a decision between parents kids and their doctors
