It needs to be more clear how option J will impact students who want to start French Immersion. JWG does not allow "out of boundary" students to apply for their FI program, this would be detrimental to a number of students.

For those who may not be aware, Doon used to be grade 6-8 just before Gerth opened up. Grade 6's had a separate playground and lunches (or something to this effect) and based on the information I received from the planning dept, even though it's up to the principal of the school to decide how to structure that, there is certainly room for this type of accommodation. Given Doon was already 6-8 previously, I am having difficulty understanding why this is such an issue this time around (unless somebody has a personal agenda to not see it go through)? Also, the new South Kitchener school would likely be designed to be JK-8 (based on scenario 16 that is being proposed) - so wouldn't our kids be exposed to same issues in being at the school with grades 7 and 8 too? Except in our case, we would not only have 5 and 6 mixed in, it would be JK-8!!! So to say having 5 and 6 mingle with 7 and 8 at Doon is somehow different, I find that difficult to believe!!!

Why would you devise this new "plan" to upset a plan that is already functioning is a smooth, even fashion. Too many children uprooted and taken away from what they now know. It is a very poor decision and I implore you to reconsider. It is not a good idea. Thank you.
