Please make the decision that is best for our children. Not the governor, not the economy, but our children.

While I feel that the online option is the best option for my children for our family's safety as well as the greater good of all families and staff I am frustrated by the lack of communication (with substance). However, when the online model was initially communicated we were told that we would receive more information, however we have not been provided any SPECIFIC information regarding the gifted instruction model and how that will compare to what is being taught by on site teachers at KGA. We were also told that even if we choose the online model, we would be connected to brick and mortar events, yet as soon as we opt for the online option we are removed from the KGA email lists, which makes me feel even more alienated.
At this point many districts are postponing their on site reopening until after the end of the first quarter (and that I assume will also be re evaluated). So, if Chandler opts for the same, then those who have selected on site will receive online teaching from the KGA staff with their peers and those of us who have opted for online will still receive an unknown model.
We are being asked to make a decision when we do not even have all of the information.

Extend the deadline for decisions until more reliable information is provided by the school district.

I understand needing to figure out staffing, there are too many questions and no one has the answers yet. I am sorry for this unprecedented time.

It's unreasonable to expect us to make this serious of a decision when there are still so many unknowns. We need more time and more information.

We have to be online because of our risk factors. I chose COA based on the current information (or lack of information). We signed on for the quarter, but we were removed from our school email list. How are we supposed to assess at the end of each quarter if we want our child to return? I don’t have much faith in the information that is being given, since we were told we would still retain a place at our current school.

Not enough information; not enough time.
