Hi Robert- I have not seen the documentary yet, but I am reading "Beyond Measure" written by the director of a "Race to Nowhere". It is a compelling testament to the fact that we need to look at our curriculum from a holistic perspective not just based on academic performance. Hi Stephanie- Agreed. The children in our district need more than one recess. Most surrounding school districts offer 2 sometimes even 3 recesses per day. Please share this petition with everyone you know in the New Berlin district. It is time for a change. Thanks for signing.

As a senior in high school I feel this would have been great back when I was in elementary school since we only got like 15 minutes

I strongly believe that students should have more recess. It is along day without enough activity. When I was a teacher my students had two recesses a day. If great weather or reward we had three!

We attended the screening of the "Road to Nowhere" at Orchard Lane this week and this was a strong recommendation coming from the discussion after the screening. I would like to see the children get some additional time to play, for all the benefits it provides.

Children can only benefit from more recess time.
