Kids can go to school with each other, but can’t go to a game with each other inside of school?

Let spectators support their athletes...in gyms! If my classroom is full to capacity, there is room in a gym for people to still social distance.

It is important to support the student athletes and there are ways to allow for social distancing during events.

I just moved to Idaho - in part - to watch my son's team play. Now, I am prevented from doing so. Would greatly appreciate the opportunity and this plan laid out by Jason Donnelly sounds very reasonable and responsible. Thank you.

This sounds like a well thought-out starting point for ALL Idaho schools and sports. As parents, we are committed to seeing our children reach their potential, even within COVID19 guidelines. Please don't sideline our children any longer.

Families need the memories They will never have these moments again. If we can fill a skating rink with kids and parents then we can fill sporting arenas/gyms too.

I am a widow and never missed my son’s matches. I missed his 1st one and the school broadcasting system pointed down at middle of gym. Which would have been fine if there was only 1 mat but there were two and we only saw edges of mats. Today one of our wrestlers were hurt very badly at a match and his parents were not there to take him to hospital. These kids need us on so many level. If they get hurt they are still kids!!!! And they love the support of looking up and seeing the pride in their parents face. Please don’t take this away from them. They need us! And some us really need them!

This is a no-brainer!! Latest CDC results show Covid has less than 1% fatality rate for any age group!! Time to get back to living.

Please let us support our kids! If keeping are kids in school is important to their development and safety. Why then does it not make sense to let them play on a team build relationships and develop physically being active and have the love and support from fans! Seems like it’s an important thing to have support!

There is no reason why a cheer team can't cheer near the end of a basketball court. Ive paid over $1,000 for her to cheer this year and for what?? the restrictions are ridiculous. All the stores are packed. Let these kids play, cheer, and let them have a few spectators!!!!!!

I wanted to write a quick note for your Consideration. I am a parent of a Ririe high school boys basketball player. I am hoping the state will allow visiting parents to attend games as well. I have had older kids that have already graduated, and believe me, the time goes WAY to quickly. I don't want to miss one game, as this is a fleeting moment, and before you blink, this opportunity to watch your kids do something that motivates them, that they are dedicated to and love with a passion, is gone, over. Some of my funnest memories in my life are watching all the effort, hard work, and dedication pay off as your kids succeeds. Please don't let COVID-19 rob the kids and parents of this. If we can go to church, go to Walmart, ride a INL site bus , why can 20 parents not wear a mask, and socially distance in an entire gym. Please ponder on this, thank you so much for your time and consideration. Chad Johnson
