I am a single mother on a low income. I can not afford the new uniform. Education is free in this country, therefore I should not have financial difficulties in sending my child to school

Don’t make year 11 get it, with 10 months of School left it’s pointless and a waste of money

Can't see how a logo on a pair of over priced trousers/skirt are going to enhance any child's education. The only reason they will want the logo is so that it is easier for them to police the wearing of the correct uniform! If they spent more time concentrating on their teaching then they might become an 'oustanding' school!!
I'd like to see evidence that states a logo on school trousers/skirts enhances learning outcomes!

No clear justification
No researched evidence

Some families will simply not be able to sustain the costs of buying this uniform directly from the School every year, and there the problems begin. It will be evident to children every September who is wearing 'new' and who is still wearing last year's uniform - that's when the hurtful comments start - that's how the bullying begins. Come on Stokesley School - let's have some common sense - despite working hard, many parents are not high earners and paying these prices will cause worry and stress not only to the parents but also to the children - that's just not fair!

Exclude year 11 if you have to bring it in, it’s not worth it, there only wearing it for a few months!

Concentrate on the education maybe? To get on in life we need new trousers? I don't think so, spending money on new science tables would be so much more worthwhile to our learning experience. Hmm. We already out here cooking in the heat with our blazers, new uniform expensive, looks poor and unnecessary , probably uncomfortable and cause irritation.

What is the point of having a logo on the trousers that cannot be seen when wearing the school blazer. If the school allowed the pupils to 5ake their blazers off when it is hot then it ma6 be a different matter but hey have to keep them on all year.

Too much money! It costs a small fortune to buy the labelled Blazer and P.E kits, not to mention new shoes, stationary and the rest! It's ridiculous!

Unnecessary, lack of proper consultation, encourages throwaway culture as no longer able to hand uniform on. Expensive - no consideration for financial implication. Where there is an issue with a minority of students not complying at present - this should be addressed not a whole school change.

I would like the school to think again and return to the standard uniform as all pupils are always well dressed and look presentable.

Unnecessary change, penalise the few rule breakers rather than the whole school.

Unnecessary expense, that can’t be justified on the grounds of buying from a local supplier as Harrogate is a significant diversion for most parents, is tricky to justify on quality as kids grow rapidly in secondary, whilst I appreciate modesty may be grounds it’s only the minority who wear leggings so the majority are being ‘punished’
