Parents against the proposed changes to Stokesley Schools Uniform

Why isn't the school listening? I don't want durable fabric (it won't be more durable than high street skirts and trousers anyway) as kids grow so fast. My daughter's skirts have lasted very well and I paid a third of what these fat cat suppliers are asking. How dare they think they can even get away with it? No consultation. They consulted with 3 people. That is not a focus group. They invited people who could not get there with practically no notice. It was a done deal. Definitely something fishy here. What's the school getting from parents forking out needlessly I wonder?

Will put unnecessary additional cost on parents and prevent passing down of current uniform from older siblings / friends for no particular benefit. It stops them wearing the trousers out side school if they need smart trousers for a social event so parents will have to buy additional clothes for occasional events where currently they can use school trousers instead of buying a pair that are otherwise never worn - weddings etc. Also it makes children more easily identifiable when they aren't wearing their blazer; from a data protection point of view in photos I understood there should not be more than 2 pieces of information about them.

There is no need to change something that doesn’t need changing

I am unhappy with the recent changes to the uniform as it requires an entire new uniform towards the end of the new and most parents child will most likely grow by then and pay again. I think it is really unnecessary to apply the new rule as to be honest of course the new supplier getting like a 25% share or profits or something along those lines. I strongly disagree with the changes to the new uniform it is completely unnecessary and damn right a scandal!

If the school wants a new uniform......maybe they should pay for it! This is not fair on parents, there's nothing wrong with it as it is.

When Offsred visited & commented on the smartness of the pupils & their uniform, why does the school feel the need to make changes & cause parents additional expense in the process. This makes no sense.
