I couldn't understand why my children were having such a difficult time in 2nd grade. I finally Sat in on their class and was shocked at what they were being taught. Once I learned about common core I realized what was causing all of their problems. They will not be returning to public school next year.
Common Core Standards are not helping to prepare our children for college or even give them a true knowledge of our great history. We as a society have been asleep and allowed this to happen. It must be stopped. To bad my Governor is so proud of Common Core.
Common Core is ruining the school. I have never seen my 4th grader so discouraged with school.
this is how they want to make more sheep,, dumb them down so they cant think for them selves
this is about testing & testing & testing not children learning and somebody is making alot of money off this stupid stuff.
We need to end the dumbing down and the indoctrination of our children.
It's dangerous, more than stupid.

We started common core, it is taking us hours to learn the common core way of doing things so we can explain it to our children. We could show them the simple, easy way to get the answer as we were taught, but then our children would be counted wrong on tests for doing it the non common core way.
