It's time to let common sense and data guide our decision-making, not divisive political rhetoric from the governor. They've been wearing masks for almost two years and we've still had like five different waves. It isn't working. Sorry.

Many areas of the country have been mask free a majority of the last 2 years. No reason to not give parents a choice. Calling the covid shot a vaccine is incorrect. It will never eradicate and eliminate Covid. It needs to be treated like the flu shot. Different strains will continue to increase the amount of booster shots. Polio shot is a vaccine. Measles shot is a vaccine. There are many proven vaccines in existence. The Covid shot is not a proven vaccine. Vaccinated people still get covid, just the same as many unvaccinated people have not gotten covid. Let everyone decide what is best for their own family please.

Our superintendent is isolating the kids in the principals office if they refuse a mask. Discrimination and coercion at it's best.

Anonymous, thank you for your comment, but it's actually not a trap. It's a bunch of parents wanting our kids to be treated as equals, and for the parents to decide if their child should wear a mask or get vaccinated. Have a great day!

“Follow the Science” numerous peer reviewed studies have shown that keeping children in masks caused irreparable harms over the last two years when compared to the insignificant benefit from cloth face masks. It’s been 2 years since students have seen the faces of their teachers and classmates. It’s child abuse at this point. You now have permission to make masks optional by the unambiguous and direct legal decision recently handed down. The only conclusion we as a community can come to if you continue the mask wearing at this point is that you choose to. Follow the lead of numerous other school districts in illinois and many States that have lifted restriction with absolutely no adverse effects

Make masks optional now. Kids have zero risk and cloth masks don’t work otherwise you’ll be abusing these poor kids who haven’t seen a classmates or a teachers face in two years. It’s unconscionable

We have complied. Let the children see each other smile.

Kids and Teachers communicate better when they can enunciate, read facial expressions, and be heard clearly without a cover over their face. It’s not safe for kids to exercise with their mouths and noses covered.
