Petition, To the Governor of Massachusetts:

I would like to make a personal plea to the Governor to pardon Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg of his 1988 transgression against the laws of Massachusetts. I myself made some serious and life altering choices as a young man that followed me for many years. In later and wiser years, after receiving Christ and surrendering to the call to Preach the Gospel, I endeavored to restore the rights that I had forfeited because of ignorant and foolish decisions made in my youth. I was able to have my record expunged under the youthful offenders act in my state of SC. I believe that everyone makes mistakes in life, some worse than others, and that some people deserve a second chance. A second chance or pardon should not be granted because of anyone's fame or fortune but because of a persons proven record of a change in attitudes and actions. I believe that one could gather a great deal of evidence that Mark Wahlberg is not a danger to his community or society in general and that he is truly remorseful over his past actions. I believe that a pardon on behalf of Mr. Wahlberg would be a positive and beneficial decision that would in no way hinder or endanger any citizen of any community nor violate the rights of any other person. I would like to thank you for your careful consideration of this matter.

Respectfully, Rev Darrell Hatchell Pastor of Tempe Hill Baptist Church 4409 Temple Hill Church Rd Granite Falls NC 28630
