Lee Wollard, of Devenport, has been convicted of aggravated assault, in a grievous miscarriage of justice. If you review his case, you will find that the warning shot he fired did no harm to anyone. Mr. Wollard fired that shot to persuade his daughter's "boyfriend" to stop beating his daughter, in preference to simply shooting the boy.

That Mr. Wollard is being subjected to a twenty year sentence for protecting his family is fundamentally immoral. We request in the strongest possible terms that you review his case. We believe that if you give this case proper consideration, you will see that there is only one right course of action: to pardon Mr Wollard and return to him all those rights due him as an upstanding citizen of Florida, and of the United States.
