The list goes on. You would think since the residents are the ones that are essentially the only reason they have jobs, they would be just a little more friendly and not so difficult to work with. I am specifically talking about Deborah Poindexter. They don't work with the residents, they work against them and pick and choose which "rules" they want to follow and who they make follow them.
My car has been towed twice for ridiculous reasons. When I talked to the office about it, you could hear pleasure in their voice because of how upset I was about it. They don't try and level with you or understand where you are coming from at all. Maybe because of their crooked contract they have with the towing company and the compensation they get for towed cars. Deb "flagged" my unit because I am difficult to deal with (we rent, don't own). She won't even talk to us, provide pool passes, air filters, etc... all of this has to be done through the landlord; very childish. I have never made an illegitimate complaint nor have I ever been rude, unprofessional, or aggressive in my communication; I have always been respectful, but yes, I did communicate my concerns which I guess she doesn't know how to handle. She simply doesn't want to deal with someone who is calling her out on what she does wrong.
Back when it snowed in January, it took probably 3 days for us to even see anyone come in to do snow removal. And when they did, I see them shoveling around the clubhouse before doing anything that would actually benefit the residents. The only reason our sidewalks got cleared is because of a neighbor.
It is one thing when one or two people have issues with the same person/management company, but when it is the majority of the residents, that is really saying something. It is clearly Deb/the management company with the issue. What ever happened to people working together to come to common ground on something? These days it seems better to rent than to own and have to deal with

This whole deck project has been appalling and heart breaking! I would love nothing more than to be able to go out on my deck and enjoy a nice cup of coffee and some breakfast and watch the sun come up! The wooden pillars were finally replaced on my balcony; however I noticed on mine as well as several other decks that have had their pillars replaced, have giant splits up the centers of them. I am not an architect, but I am concerned the splits may cause some structural damage in the near future. There were screws and debris left on my deck and a piece of my deck was chipped off in the process. The job looked rushed and sloppy and has still not been completed.
When we had the first blizzard this year it took 2 days for my building’s breezeways and sidewalks to be shoveled and treated. It was extremely dangerous and upsetting. I was under the impression that by law this was supposed to be taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. I watched through my window at the workers shoveled other sidewalks and some multiple times. Some of my neighbors eventually dug a small walk way for people to be able to go through.
As for the parking situation, since I bought my condo over 4 years ago my parking passes have been mangled to pieces and/or have been misplaced. As stated above the replacement cost for these pieces of paper… (not even cardboard) is ridiculous!!! At least give us a couple of plastic ones that don’t have to be changed out every few months?...
I love living in Parc Reston! It’s home and has been an amazing experience… But there are some major issues that absolutely have to change and soon!

I agree. The unprofessionalism, unreliability and lack of concern for the property itself doesn't begin to describe the awful management experiences. I'm glad this petition has been started, it's beyond overdue. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss my personal experience with 3 floods that occurred in my rental unit.

I agree with everything above. I would like to add the the poop stations are over flowing and not emptied in a timely manner. After the main parking lot light was out for 2 weeks. I emailed Debbie and she said she would take of it. Two weeks later I had to email again for it to be finally changed.

I definitely agree with the complaints that motivated this petition and have a particular complaint that I would like to emphasize. The guest parking situation is extremely inconvenient for residents. In my opinion, we should not need guests to present a parking pass if they are parked in the clearly marked spaces labeled "guest". To make matters difficult, there are 4 types of passes for each quarter of the year. So even if you guest has a pass, if they forget to change it for the appropriate quarter, they could be penalized. Not only that, it costs an exorbitant amount of money to replace these cardboard passes, which are often left behind and lost in the cars of our guests. Furthermore, the guest parking next to the building 1710 has been occupied by the association for about 6 months. There are a significant amount of spaces in that area that cannot even be used by the residents who pay condo fees for this service. I suggest that the management company monitor guest parking usage and re-allocate an appropriate amount per building along with getting rid of the cardboard passes.

Everything expressed here in this petition I can personally attest to in my own experience. While Debbie has improved over the years, the lropert management has not. The managementattitude is very lackadaisical. While I have been helped at times by management I always feel as if it is going to be a battle interacting with them. The tone of customer service is not always present or top priority. It took repeat efforts to have predatory towing stopped at the community, as well as numerous attempts for management to begin communicating directly with tenants who are the majority constituents in the community, and not just communication with owners. Often times months to by without communication regarding items like the balconies being fixed, as if no communication is required. That is not acceptable. I live here and deserve to be communicate with as frequently as issues require. It is as if communication with residents was not seen as a responsibility for management or a priority.
Snow removal was also an issue for which our area was consistently not being done or done at the veryast possibl moment. Our sidewalks never got shoved by anyone... Which you are required by law to do to ensure their are no injuries.
I have had instances with management interrupting meetings in the business center for appropriate reason other than to be nosey or dictate rules upon me that are simply made up.
The management attitude is very much "them first".
In other instance we have had guests at the pool only to have management be rude and inflexible with use of the pool.
We can do better than this management, and we deserve better.

Lets get a new company to manage our community. Gone will be the days of snow and ice never being cleaned, floods never being addressed, balcony projects that take three years to complete. This isn't rocket science people, let's get this fixed!
