We, Star Trek fans, believe the entirety of the “Burn” timeline as established in Star Trek Discovery season 3 and continued in the short-lived Star Fleet Academy to have been a mistake full of missteps and bad ideas including (but not limited to):
- nonsense technology such as personal transporter devices
- ship designs that attempt to be avante garde but are really just soulless and bland
- the cause of “The Burn” being the stupidest thing anyone could possibly imagine
- the resetting of basically all galactic politics and cultures which renders the decades of work done by better writers null and void

It seems quite transparent to those of us who have been Star Trek fans for years and decades that the motivation for establishing this timeline was to create a kind of tabula rasa that makes the work of newer writers easier. We find this lazy and unacceptable. Simply put, it does not interest us. You will have already noticed our disinterest reflected in the ratings of the latest Star Trek show.

But we are very forgiving. We look forward to a course correction. We have been and ever shall be your friends. Let’s fix this and move on to better things.
