Maybe our gov't should take better care of its own people first before pledging our hard earned dollars to others. We want help. We need a break.

I cannot bear the thought that this child could have been sleeping safely in his aunt's home in Vancouver if the Harper government was not so mean spirited and hateful. The UN has asked us to take in 10,000 people to start to ease the crisis. It is terrible to think that we would even think twice...

It's time for Canada to rise to its own standards when it comes to human rights, generosity and responsibilities. Ever since the conservative government came to power Canada's international image was stained. Canada has been part of the problem and we ask you to be part of the solution now. Start saving Syrian lives instead of blindly echoing heinous shouts made by the Americans.

Canada should be sending covered trucks with water to drive along the route and drive these people to Germany.
Canada should expidite the visa process so it won't take these legal refugees 18 months to be approved to live in Canada.

This absolutely outrageous that no one is doing anything! How can you let this happen?!?! So many dieing trying to find peace and happiness... this is not tolerable by any means.....

He never reached Canada...but he did not die in vain...his picture broke hearts world wide and we will never forget ....please stand up with me in urging Canada to make a difference in the lives of these refugees. May no child ever die again simply because they longed for a better life. ....a life of freedom.... RIP sweet child
