The motto of the Marine Corps "Semper Fidelis" is embodied in the person of Corporal Abdalla in the legacy he inherited, lived and transmitted to future generations with his service to the United States. Welcome Home Marine!

Loren Duke Abdalla deserves a review of his heroic services on May 5, 1945. May the president of This Great Country, The United States of America, take notice and give honor to this U.S. Marine.

As a U.S army disabled veteran we must stand up for each-other. We have over 300,000 veterans living on the streets or in shelters in the U.S., and an average of 22 veterans committing suicide everyday. Lets stand up for our veterans who stood up for us because we are American! Stand up for Papa Duke! My name is Robert Renteria and I am an American.

After reading all the material I could gather I also feel that Cpl Abdalla's actions deserve consideration for the Congressional Medal of Honor, I urge the President to review is man's actions and do the right thing.

I have read through all the material including most of the book, 'Stand Like a Man'. In my opinion, Cpl Abdalla's actions during WWII deserve a Presidential review and consideration for the Medal of Honor. Mel Ellingsen, Commandant, Lake County Detachment 801 of the Marine Corps League.

I am Honored, Blessed and Fortunate to be Cpl. Loren Duke Abdalla's eldest grandson. Duke "The Indian" has ALWAYS been a Family Treasure and NOW is a National Treasure when I heard about what happened and what he did during The Battle of Okinawa, after being severely injured during The Battle of Peleliu. His actions on May 5, 1945, have been Honored at every level of government and we Truly do live in a Grateful Nation, but his case has now reached The President and I pray Duke is given the proper closure that he has Earned and Deserves. Thank You Everyone for Your Support!!! GOD Bless The United States of America!!!!

Our First Commander in Chief said it best...... The willingness with which our young are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation. George Washington 1789
