Our Security Team is outstanding. We could not care for our patients without their support and expertise. They are members of our team in the Emergency Department. I am stunned that the department has been considered non-support staff. This status must be reconsidered and the department needs to receive the recognition that they so deserve.

If every employee is considered part of the Steward family and are truly valued team members they should all receive appreciation pay. Why are the contributions and lives of security team not considered as valuable as other non professional hospital employees?
