Great teachers, good lesdership/mentoring opportunities, excellent experience for our child with real-world application, and giving back to the community is a valuable opportunity that benefits all now and instills this for the future.

As our school district tries to foster more community in its school, we should be holding up the PALs program as an example of how community can be fostered, not contemplating its demise.

This program was a great gift of education and learning for my children, it would be a shame if it were discontinued. It represents a a variable way of learning and social growth that can be unique to each student and a forward way of thinking about education.

Please keep this valuable program available to students throughout the district. It has been tested and has proven valuable. Losing it will leave a huge hole in the choices available and students will suffer.

Shocking that the administration would discontinue a program with decades of success. I was a PAL from 1992-1997 and benefitted greatly from a curriculum and teaching methodology that nurture childrens' different learning styles. The level of peer learning and cooperation cannot be replicated in a traditional classroom.

The PALs program taught my children to be active participants in their learning and responsible members of a learning community. They didn't learn for a test score or grade but for the joy of learning, and sharing and helping others. We need more PALs programs in our public schools.

I was a PAL from 1999- 2004, it saddens me to think that after this year students from my community may no longer have the chance to benefit from this wonderful program , I'm sorry I can't be there in person to show my support for PALs.

My son has been in this program for 2 years. I am amazed and very happy with this program and the teachers. I believe that there is respect, both ways, in the classroom. The program is tailored to the students not to tests. This is a program worth saving.

I can't stomach a dismissive end to the PALs program. Here's hoping we at least create a constructive conversation
