The proposed bridge will significantly increase traffic, traffic noise, and drop property values but please don't bring up police and fire department response times as the many walled-in, gated communities with only one way in and one way out would not have been allowed if that was a legitimate concern.

I oppose the bridge. It will only create more traffic in small communities and put more danger into residents.
It would be better to extend the metro rail south to reduce traffic, improve the environment.

We don’t agree how the commissioner of district 8 ignores the democratic process, since we the residents of Palmetto Bay said in 2018 no to the construction of the bridges in 87 and 77.

There’s no debate on whether the bridge wil bring more traffic - that is a certainty. The benefit of bridging for an extra mile of road which ends in a residential neighborhood without even a traffic light is uncertain at best. The only benefit is to a new unelected commissioner eager to show a rapidly growing constituency in Sourh Dade a token ‘traffic improvement’ while the real issues of runaway development without infrastructure are NEVER addressed.

This bridge makes no sense for traffic easing. It is a short cut for cut through traffic to a dead emd on 141st. The amswer is the county to spend real money on more rail, extended infrastructure 826 South, and using our penny tax that we have been paying for 20 years.
On a personal note, it will create congestion in my direct area and make the roads unsafe for my kids. 87 ave is already a drag strip, I can't imagine what will happen when you connect it all the way to Cutler Bay and Old Cutler.

This bridge will not solve traffic issues but will cause major negative impacts to those who live on or near 87th avenue

This proposed bridge will hve minimal impact on traffic at significant cost and will make matters worse by creating induced demand via WAZE and other GPS apps. It does NOT complete the grid connecting Balac Point with anything north of SW 141st Street. Additionally, there are no plans to deal with all of the new traffic that will create time-eating congestion at 87th avenue and 160, 152. 144 and 141st streets.

Totally against this bridge concept and waste of tax payer money. The traffic problem was already addressed with approved plans for roundabouts along old cutler and needs to be followed up by main road expansions-not residential roads.
