Please make the Pacific Pallid bat the California State Bat. Too many people still believe negative myths about bats, and so are quick to harm or kill them, or they will let others do so without protest. However, once people understand bats' true value both locally and around the world ("Without bats there would be no Tequila!"), they become bat supporters. It's a win-win situation for farmers and for the bats. Thank you.

More people need to know the true facts about bats, and that they aren't scary. They help pollinate, and eat tons of mosquitoes and other bugs. They are very important to the ecosystem and must be protected!

WHY not have a state bat for California? Maybe then people would get educated about the many ways bats help with pest control.

Great bat to represent our 25 California bat species.
