It is a barbaric practice the government to interfere with chronic pain sufferers ability to receive opioids from their physicians.

my doctor has cut off my pain meds . I am looking for a lawyer to sue . This isn't right . We have serious health issues and that does not make us drug addicts ...maybe if enough of them get sued they will stop this insane DISCRIMINATION !!

I have a disabled son whose pain specialist has been mandated to reduce/prescribed less efficient drugs and on top of that has been denied his opioid medication by pharmacists afraid to fill his scripts or insurance companies who won’t authorize as a result of these misguided laws. I’m fearful my son will become a statistic because of this heartless misguided governmental ruling. His pain has come back 10fold and struggles to just get out of bed and his entire health is being affected

I live in pain everyday. No one understands how Fibromialgia feels, unless you have it. The pain in real and it steals you life

I understand that even the President has made an effort to deal with 'prescription drug abuse' however...there has been no mention, resources, compassion and sympathy, Presidential directives or mandates to HELP CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS WHO HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE/RESOURCE BUT TO USE THESE MEDICATIONS. Please take a moment to think at the monumental devastation youre having on pain patients who have done no wrong, broken no law, yet have incurable, poorly managed chronic pain-day, noon, and night. Who NEVER get a 'day off' from pain. The restricting of and limiting access to prescription only medications, meant only for chronic pain patients who have no other resource to go to, will further aggravate their conditions, and do nothing against those who abuse them and have always gotten their medications ILLEGALLY. Patients who follow all the recommendations, regulations, good patient responsibility practices, have done nothing wrong are the ones bearing the brunt of these actions. In fact, there is also an Epidemic of chronically UNDERTREATED Pain in America as well. Where is their Presidential decree? why arent doctors, who know their suffering and tears first hand, not stepping up and speaking out? Seems that everyone is against the only innocent person here...the chronic pain patient who has a small chance at life again because of these medications.

There are REAL pain patients out here, in legitimate, agonizing pain! The ones in true pain should not have to suffer for the drug seekers in faux pain!

Though I'm not a resident of OHIO, but I am both a non-drug treatment advocate AND a victim of a severe and likely permanent pain syndrome called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), or sometimes buy it's earlier designation Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). I fought tooth and nail to keep myself off of any opiates, but what I did not fully understand, what wasn't part of my training (more than a brief mention) was that neuropathic pain left unchecked will effectively breed more pain. By fighting the drugs that would have calmed my overactive nervous system and given me a chance at recovery, I created an environment of over stimulation of the central nervous system by the pain message carrying nerves which trained my central nervous system (CNS) to feel pain more easily ... in fact, so easily that a mere breeze across the skin of my face, or hands would feel like I had just been burned by a blow-torch. There is ample scientific evidence of the mechanisms and anatomic changes that allow this disease to take hold and SPREAD, and it has been induced in dogs and monkeys ... this condition and others like it are not psychological and they are in most cases only treatable by drugs that quiet the pain centers and pathways of the CNS. Please realize that most physicians are either completely unable to even describe the signs and symptoms of diseases like CRPS, or what little they know is decades out of date. The few doctors that either have made themselves knowledgeable, for a specific patient, or have made pain their specialty and life's work, and the pharmacists that understand the processes and specialize in the use of pain medications, or even the compounding of special medicinal mixtures and delivery systems, are often persecuted in the name of controlling addiction and curbing street use of the drugs. What this results in is the abuse and torture of millions of people with legitimate needs for those drugs and pain diseases that are presently incurable. Please fin
