This name change represents the community of people that use and suround the park. As well as the groups that maintain and help organize free community events at the park.

Please attend the Board of Parks meeting next Wednesday, March 19th at 6:00 . It is important to show strong support to those who do not want to give the Cambodian community ONE park. And also, there is also a new park named Roberto Clemente Field In Lowell behind the Bartlett School. I have fought for this for 5 years and will not let stop until it is done. Rally at Lowell City Hall next Wednesday in support of this change.

This is a wonderful idea especially for the Cambodian community growing up in Lowell we have always called this park " Phailin Park" due to the fact that Phailin market was right across the street I love the idea I love how it always brought the Khmer community together

I would like to call Pailin because when we lived in New Hampshire we use to drive there to meet Cambodian families so my kids can play with them. The name remind us our country. Thank you!

We would like the park to be renamed to reflect the people that utilizes it. The Cambodian community have worked to clean up the park and have kept it functioning. The community also uses the park in other important events such as; Khmer New Year, collaboration with Lowell Police to do the annual BBQ for the locals. These are just a few examples as to why it's important for the Cambodian community to have this park be renamed. The park is our identity. We, the Cambodian American, taxpayers and voters urge you to reconsider your this motion!

Renaming the park will be a good sign of diversity and inclusion. It is rare to find things in our day to day life for Cambodian children to see something that represents them or even a famous person that is like them. Renaming the park shows recognition of Cambodian people and acceptance in the community.
