With everything going on today here in America, some Americans feel like there should a different repercussions rather than paid leave or "paid vacation" some might say, for police officers when something as tragic as killing another human being. With that being said this petition is for the Department of Justice to voice our proposal about having any police officers who takes the life of a fellow human being who didn't put the officers' life in danger should be put on suspension with a 40-45% pay cut until the end of their trial, if there is one. If a trial should happen and the suspended officer(s) are found innocent then that officer will be reimbursed the income he was not given at the time.
