Q: Are you aware that in 2014, due to lack of school places in this geographical area, it is predicted that up to 30 primary reception aged children, currently living in the Guiseley area will not receive a place in their local school? A There is a need for the Council to increase provision of school places to meet demand. The Parent Action Group would like to call upon your support in their campaign, to demand that every child has a right to a place at their nearest primary school. HOW CAN YOU HELP? : Sign here to pledge your support to call for Leeds City Council and Bradford City Council to have joint plans about Education provision in our area and rethink the need for increases in primary provision, in Guiseley as a whole and particularly for children in the north of Guiseley/ Menston-Guiseley border. We believe this issue needs addressing jointly by Leeds City Council and Bradford City Council NOW, so permanent sustainable solutions, rather than short-term fire-fighting measures are provided. Call upon Leeds City Council & Bradford City Council to look/relook at the provision of primary & secondary school places in the Guiseley/Menston areas, to ensure that all local children have access to education in their school closest to their home (primary school and secondary school.)
