This would help fill a great need; there is no other facility of this nature in Cape Town.

Please recognise the need for people to die with dignity and the space for family to grieve. Please allow and assist those willing to create this space, the oppertunity to provide such an important part of our lives to be recognised and accommodated. THank you.

When it comes to our children and their suffering, there can never be too many places and buildings. I was a volunteer at an AIDS hospice for babies and children and had a few die while I was there. As a volunteer, it was the most precious experience ever. A baby who had no parents or whose mother stepped out for a little while, have someone to cuddle and hold and pray with and sing to them and just let them know that it's okay and that even though they are so little that they will be missed and more importantly that their short little life mattered, at least to me a volunteer carerer. Its not everyone who is wired and setup to have their children at home, especially when they are about to face death. Therefore, I can well see a place other than home and a hospital filled with love and care because everyone young and old deserves their final days and hours to be filled with love, joy and peace but more importantly a "you matter and are important environment, however, short your time with us". So, a hospice for children will always get my vote. Yes! We need one! This one!

I strongly agree with the idea of launching this hospice for children. There is a great need for it. Having worked at Red Cross Children's hospital for 10 years, I had the priviledge of working with some children in the oncology unit. A dedicated hospice would be a wonderful facility for terminally ill children and their families. Sincerely Jane Durham Occupational Therapist

We are next door neighbours and would like to see the building used for a sustainable purpose. This proposal appears to be a suitable repurposing for the building

i am willing to help if I can. I am a GP starting out in private practice and would love a way to still be giving back to the community. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.
