Having a designated free afternoon each week would enable me to offer to long-term volunteer in an area that relates to my degree and will assist me in securing a post-grad course. Currently I am not able to volunteer appropriately as I will need to support an individual and not knowing my timetable for the remaining three semesters of my degree prevents this from happening.

As a former captain of one of the sports teams at Brookes, my role was to organise the transport and people required for the BUCS games. There's been many occasions when we had to give a walkover to other teams because of not being able to form a team for a particular game. Free Wednesdays after 12 pm would mean we would be able to form a team more frequently and perform better as players and the team so, overall, it's a good idea!

As a former Brookes alum, I regret that I didn't get to participate in Varsity sports. Allowing this, additional study or the opportunity for salaried work/internships would benefit the current students' experience.
