I'm am an avid supporter of The Oprah Winfrey Network. I need your support in letting Oprah Winfrey know, that we need a Cable News Station within her network that will keep African Americans informed with unbiased news opinions. With her newly produced show "GreenLeaf" debuting with 3.04 millions viewers, the support is present. The community will greatly benefit from an, "for us, by us" news production. I am calling on the billionaire media mogul to make a real difference within the community who has given her this platform.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one hungry for a news source that truly reflects our perspective. This response proves we are ready to see our own stories told on this network.

Yes!! We need real news that actually cares about our community. Tired of seeing the same distorted narratives on CNN and Fox.
We need our own news outlets. The regular mainstream stations never get the story right when it comes to us. Oprah please make this happen!
Been watching OWN since day one and this is the next logical step. The people are ready for this.
I am an HBCU grad of North Carolina Central University, bachelors in Mass Communicatin: Broadcast Media! If this happens I would love to work for her! This is an awesome idea!

Global news in reference to Black lives is critical to our progress. I am truly thankful for channels such as Aljazeera; having similar focus for our diaspora would be monumental. Lives of Black people across the world has to be shared, or experiences must be talked about. Keeping us informed is to keep us from repeating the same mistakes.
