This was a revenue generating measure, background checks was just the hook to the voters.

I just realized that the state can now collect more tax revenue on this measure. All FFL transfers in Washington state require sales tax on the firearm transfer. This tax on FFL transfers was instituted a while back and with the passing of this measure, enables the state to prosper big time. This measure wasn't about background checks, it was about MONEY! Whats next, gonna charge tax at garage sales or Craigslist?
