CAP has been hijacked by academia. We, community pathologists, will have to form our own college to represent our interest and not interest of academic centers or commercial labs.

Pathology fellows are struggling for jobs and CAP wants to increase the number of pathology residents, what is the logic behind this?

Pathology has almost the worst job market in all subspecialties of medicine in recent years.

Our college is controlled by academicians and is betraying the majority of its members. If their is a shortag, why is reimbursement falling so rapidly? Most groups handle any increase in surgicals by increased productivity, not by hiring another pathologist. The projected shortage is self serving BS

As a pathologist in practice for 3 years I completely agree with the sentiments described in the petition. I am happy at my current job but fell terrible for those looking.
