We spend 11.7 billion pounds aiding others abroad yet we are unable to cope with the demands on our NHS (plus the police and education). We need to sort out OUR problems before trying to sort out other peoples. I appreciate that a certain amount of aid is required abroad where there are cases of acute suffering but shouldn't we be setting aside a large portion of that £11.7 billion to ease the pressure on our own problem areas first? Why should we be paying more in overseas aid than any other country? Is it just to meet the target set by David Cameron. A better target for him to set would be that of relieving the pressure on our own problems. Sign the petition now to reduce the overseas aid until we can afford to divert money away from the NHS and similar services.
