As a parent of students who attend Delaware public schools, it is MY right to determine MY kids' educational needs, learning and assessment, NOT the Governor. I stand AGAINST his veto and will not accept it.

We've always had the right and this legislation supports that. Our house and senate support that. The agenda of the Governor on this is misplaced and more needs to be done regarding testing in our state before one individual should have the say over every parent in the State.

The government does not own our children.Under the Constitution, which Markell swore to uphold and defend, forcing students to take the test is unconstitutional, and has been ruled so in many states. Time for a little civil disobedience, and a lawsuit!

Please let parents have this choice to opt their children out, kids with special needs have a hard enough time with school work let alone a test that does not help them in any way. Also, How is it lawful that children with IEPs receive accommadations on a daily basis to help them learn yet don't get any for this test. It is not fair to these children who have to work so hard on a daily basis and then set them up for failure all for what, money!!
