It's ridiculous that we have to pay $75 a year just to park at a campus where you have to show up an hour early to find a parking spot.

Why do we pay for parking when there is never anywhere to park?

We already pay so much for school as is. What was wrong with the old way

It's ridiculous that the student body of NWFSC has to pay to park at the college when they are there to learn and strive into their careers.

Paying once a year is a better option than paying every semester, why make us pay for parking when we are already paying for the classes and books?

Pay to park every semester? No thanks!

Education is expensive enough as it is ... I don't think students should have to pay to park.

Once a year should be enough..

Parking permits should last a year not a semester. I'm in the Dental Assisting program which will cost me $75 in parking permits for one year. For the lack of student parking, that's ridiculous!

For a state college with no public transportation and students who are attending for a lower price due to having full working lives, the starting price for parking for each semester is outrageous and henders the learning environment. I do not know whether the college is looking for an alternative option for raising money or trying to fit in with larger schools. With that information, we could make a better judgement of the situation. Until that moment, I agree that the parking fee should lifted until a new and manageable plan is made to benefit the school and the students.

With no other options for transportation like buses or shuttles, students should not be charged additional fees for parking.

I am a full-time student. I was given a ticket prior the semester as I was registering. I had my placard which was behind my sunshield. I returned to my car to get my wallet and found a citation. A couple days later I was about to finalize registering for my classes but had a hold on my account. It was the very last day for me to register. Of course, I had to go to the student office and spoke to the head of the department. I said, I was a FL resident attending this school. I along with many other residents attending or not, pay taxes in order for this school to exist. Therefore, why must I literally pay again to park on a property that has been paid for as being a FL resident? The good gentleman, sorry I cannot recall his name but I do recall of his tactful demeanor said he will look into it and had explained to me that other campuses typically charge its students more than what we do. I stated my case and he indeed had sent to me an email of a policy concerning charging students to pay for parking. Of course, I don't agree with the policy due to its lack of common sense. However, the gentleman did remove my hold that day in order for me to register. Thank you my friend and God Bless you.

They get you coming and going. This is just another form of extortion. You have no other alternative than to pay.
