Overnighting the opposite gender

I feel that we should be able to have the opposite sex stay in our dorms, we're adults now. We can handle the responsibility.

The rules of this school are abominable. Being that most students are 18+ years of age, It is beyond frustrating to abide by rules that constrict people from being able to see each other. What if my significant other of an opposite gender is from a different state and has no where to go? Are they supposed to sleep in their car? This rule needs to be changed and every student supports this claim.
