The library administration officially confirmed that the overnight section is reopening. We hit the goal because you stood firm on our right to safe study spaces. Keep checking the library schedule to ensure they follow through on these hours.
The overnight section in Walsh Library has recently been closed due to budget cuts. The purpose of this petition is to remind Fordham University that it shouldn't REMAIN closed for a prolonged period of time. The amount of time we have to study shouldn't be one of the first things that suffers under budget cuts at a an educational institution.
I am currently organizing a meeting with the library administration to demand a timeline for reopening the overnight section. Use the link on this page to post our petition to your Facebook feed today. Email your department head to tell them how this space impacts your academic performance.

We hit our stride this week and the administration is starting to take note of our demand. Post this link on Facebook to keep the pressure high while we prepare our meeting request for the library board.

ridiculous. we pay way too much tuition to have them cut the one resource we actually use. open it back up.

Are you kidding me? Where am I supposed to go during finals week? The library is the only place I can actually get work done.

Budget cuts should not happen on the backs of students trying to study. fix this.
