Education of the symptoms is the only way to increase early detection. I was diagnosed Stage IV in 2009 - if I had known the symptoms I would have gone to the doctor earlier. Help us save lives.

I am 35 and an Ovarian Cancer survivor. It is my hope that woman don't need to have an abnormal pap smear just to be tested for Ovarian Cancer. It was a coincidence that I was diagnosed, but God forbid I had not felt like there was something wrong, I may not have been fortunate enough to see another birthday. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS OUT THERE...!!!

Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers, killing more women than all other gynecologic cancers combined. Every female is at risk (even those who have had their ovaries removed), and no age is spared (girls as young as one year old have been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer). Ovarian cancer is no longer called "The Silent Killer." Symptoms are often subtle, but they are not silent. Get the word out. If your having any of the subtle signs above - ask your Gyno to do a Pet scan at least once a year.
