My beautiful 35 year old niece passed away from OC 4 months ago. We need to find a cure and now. With a percentage of proceeds going toward NOCC, there is hope for a cure.

I lost my mother in 2015 to ovarian cancer. I have never seen anyone suffer like she did.Mom fought so hard to live.The only time she gave up was when her doctors told her. There's nothing else they can do.Mom turned 68-year-old two weeks later she died.Some birthday gift.She was a mother grandmother great grandmother.She had so much to live for but was robbed by this disease.

We need to do so much more to raise awareness about this dreadful disease that takes way too many lives.

Break the Silence! This stamp will help raise awareness of the 'whispering disease' that is usually not found until the late stages. If found in the early stages, there is a much better chance of survival. But since there is no reliable screening test, most women are diagnosed in the later stages. We need to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer so more women will be diagnosed in the EARLY stages rather than in the late stages of the disease!

My mom was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2011 and less than a year later she was gone. Ovarian Cancer is the silent killer, even though there are symptoms they are symptoms women deal with quite regularly with or without Ovarian Cancer.
