To whoever it may concern,

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Valley Christian Schools allow students to bring outside dates to the upcoming school dance. This change directly supports the mission of Valley Christian Schools: to equip students to be culture changers for Christ by delivering academic excellence, facilitating spiritual growth, and building lifelong community.

Honoring Christ:

Inviting outside dates gives us an opportunity to share Christ’s love and the positive culture of our school with others—modeling our faith in real and meaningful interactions.

Pursuing Excellence:

By increasing attendance, we not only create a more exciting and successful event, but also maximize ticket sales and profits. These added funds help strengthen future school programs, dance improvements, and student activities—supporting excellence in every aspect of student life.

Building Community:

Opening the dance to outside dates allows students to include close friends and significant others who may attend different schools, strengthening relationships and extending our caring community beyond campus.

Changing Culture:

When guests experience the welcoming, Christ-centered environment of Valley Christian, we influence culture for the better—exactly as our mission calls us to do. This also gives potential new families and students a window into what makes VCS special.

Partnering with Parents and the Local Church:

Parents and guardians will support and approve of and verify outside dates. Parents have signed below showing support. This continues our tradition of working closely with families to guide students toward safe and positive choices.

Additionally, Valley Christian already allows outside dates at other major school events such as prom. Maintaining consistency with that policy shows trust in our students and ensures fairness across school activities.

For these reasons, we believe that allowing outside dates at the dance honors our mission and strengthens every one of our core values. We ask that the administration please reconsider the current restriction and allow outside dates for this event.
