Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, Inc (HCCI) and Assemblyman Al Taylor are working to bring COVID-19 mobile testing to Harlem's Bradhurst neighborhood. Areas located above 144th Street have been totally neglected and have zero testing sites! Meanwhile, some New York City communities have received 2-3 times the testing supplies, while other communities (like Bradhurst) have received nothing. This is an outrage!

Harlem's houses of worship are being rampaged by the COVID-19 virus, as Harlem residents continue to die at a disproportionately higher rate than other communities. HCCI has access to the mobile testing vans through community partnerships. We have secured medical personnel volunteers to conduct the test. Now, we just need to have the testing supplies and equipment allocated to start the testing process.

We need your assistance to protect our community residents and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Harlem. Please sign our petition if you believe that EVERYONE should have access to COVID-19 testing.

I spent the morning reading through your stories and the anger in this neighborhood is palpable. Seeing our own families left behind while other districts get the resources they need to survive keeps me fighting for those vans. Our community deserves the same protection as anyone else in this city.

The momentum behind this effort is growing and it makes me feel like our neighbors might finally get the attention they deserve. Watching this take off reminds me that my community is unwilling to be left behind while others get the resources they need to survive.

Ridiculous that we have to fight for basic health care while other neighborhoods get everything handed to them. We need a van in Bradhurst ASAP.

My neighbors are getting sick and we still have nowhere to go. Stop ignoring Harlem!

I believe in community work. We must support all who support the community. Thank HCCI for their diligent work.

It is completely outrageous that access to testing is not being made available to Harlem residents. It is racist, classist, and ignores the epidemiological data that says this virus is disproportionately impacting communities of color and poor people/

Thank you so much to advocating for our community. There is one testing site on 145th Lenox Ave but we need a testing site at 155th Frederick Douglass Blvd right in Rucker Park, if possible. Thanks again Malcolm Punter and Company.
